You already know how to drive. What many overseas drivers need is the right guidance to adjust to Melbourne roads, understand the VicRoads driving test format and complete the number of lessons that is actually necessary. At Alex Driving School, we aim to strike the right balance between keeping your lesson costs down and giving you the best possible chance of passing your overseas licence conversion test first time. We understand that many drivers are on a budget, but we also know that doing too little preparation can end up costing more if you fail and need to rebook.
Our goal is to help you prepare properly, avoid unnecessary lessons and give yourself a strong chance of first-time success when converting your overseas licence to a Victorian driver licence.
During driving lessons our instructors give a full explanation of the VicRoads overseas licence conversion test format while teaching you on Official VicRoads Testing Routes so you can prepare efficiently and confidently.

Alex Driving School Strongly Recommends: (Meeting at Vicroads)
Important Note : When preparing for a driving test it is strongly recommended meeting at your local Vicroads office as it's best to conduct the entire driving lessons on the official Vicroads testing routes. Getting to know the testing routes, including correct format and criteria gives you a big advantage to passing the driving test. We have a higher pass rate this way as each testing route takes around 60 minutes to complete including clarifying student mistakes, going over certain aspects of the test multiple times (such as parking and 3 point turns) and going over the black spots and difficult intersections of the testing routes. You would be receiving best possible training, aiming for first time pass and value for money if you met at the local Vicroads.
Alex Driving School Recommends: (Auto Car)
Going for your Victorian licence in an automatic car is usually easier and can work out less expensive for many drivers. Automatic cars are simpler to operate, allowing you to focus more on observation, speed control, positioning, traffic awareness and Victorian road rules, rather than worrying about clutch control and gear changes. As a result, many overseas drivers feel more confident, need fewer lessons and have a better chance of passing and converting their overseas licence to a Victorian driver's licence.
