Driving Lessons in Waterways for New Learner Drivers
Waterways is a planned estate built around the wetlands of Mordialloc Creek, and the proportions are unusual: about forty per cent of the suburb is water and another tenth is parkland. That leaves comparatively few streets, all of them quiet, with three ways in and out and no through traffic at all.
From there it builds in an order: vehicle control and observation on the quiet residential streets near you, then parking between real cars, then the busier roads once you are ready for them rather than once the lesson plan says so. Driving lessons are one to one in a small dual-control automatic, which is what most learner drivers now sit the VicRoads drive test in. It is the same driving instructor and the same car right through to test day.
- Complete beginners start on the estate streets, which have no through traffic at all
- Private one-to-one driving lessons, with nobody else in the car
- Progress at your pace towards your red or green Ps, not to a fixed schedule
