Yes for ordinary learner driving lessons, and pickup from home or work is completely normal. For drive test preparation, fourteen minutes each way is close to half of a 60 minute driving lesson, so we would rather meet you at Deer Park VicRoads or run a 90 minute driving lesson.

It works in your favour. Curving estate roads do not show you the next junction until you are nearly at it, so you learn to look further ahead and slow before you can see rather than after. Learners from grid suburbs usually have to add that habit later on.

On the estate streets. They are wide, clearly marked and carry almost nothing but local traffic, because nothing needs to pass through the suburb to get anywhere. That makes the first driving lesson about as calm as it gets.

More than most estate suburbs offer. The ground falls away to the east towards the Maribyrnong valley, so hill starts and braking on a descent come into the driving lessons without going far from home. That is unusual for a suburb of this kind and worth using.

The estate streets have ordinary kerbside parking and very little passing traffic, which is where reverse parallel parking should start. The shopping centres nearby cover bay parking and reversing out with someone waiting, and Watergardens is a few minutes up the road for the busier version.
